Spring 2026 Budo seminar with Daishihan Mark Vandehey

When:

  • May 23-24, 2026

  • 10am - 5pm (both days)
    Registration starts Sat at 9:30am

Where:

Training Focus:

  • Shinden Fudo Ryu as the ryuha, and continuing Juppo Seisho, Roppo Kuji, and Kasumi no Ho as a theme will be the focus of this seminar.

Cost:

  • $150 CAD for the weekend or $75/day

What to bring:

  • Training weapons: bokken (daito/shoto/tanto), hanbo, shinai; iai & bo (if you have them). Some training tools will be available at Shin Ryu Bujinkan if you don’t have your own weapons.

  • Masking is not currently required or recommended for most attendees (unless you might be getting sick), but you are welcome to wear one.

  • Food and water for breaks - we’ll be taking a 1.5 hour break for lunch, but the dojo is about 20 minutes from in-town food locations. We plan to have some sandwich and soup offerings available for participants over lunch if they wish (please let us know about any allergies).

    Please note: We have a student with anaphylactic contact allergies to pork products, so please do not bring pork/bacon/ham products to the dojo itself, and please wash your hands and face with soap before resuming training if you’ve had pork products over lunch.

There will be a dinner on Saturday evening with Mark Vandehey Sensei at TBD (likely someplace with steak). Details forthcoming on this.
